The days go by

I’ve been keeping busy with work (new site going live next week!) cleaning up my own messes and making plans for Burningman. So hyped about the Pirate Ninja Fairy Princess accomodations Rachael and I will be sharing. Cots are the greatest idea ever! I ordered supplies to make gifts with from Etsy last night, should be my best yet :)
Max’s trip is going well, I talk to him almost every day which is awesome, so glad I didn’t trim down the phone plan, getting a cell there was easier and cheaper than we thought. Doesn’t feel like he’s so far when I can call anytime. Sounds like he’s been having an amazing time, doing things he only dreamed of. He’s been a bit of a shopaholic (he’s a Taurus, they like to surround themselves with nice things) but he’s ok with coming home sooner if the funds dry up (as am I) There’s been parts of our trips we’ve been mentally trimming in order to do them together in the future. (Vietnam, Cambodia, Italy, Greece) but time will tell. The fun part when he gets home will be finding out where to get yak meat which he’s grown quite fond of in Tibet. Miss him but no-one’s allowed me to get lonely or bored yet.

Max is in China :(

The chaos for me is over, I’ve done all I can to ensure he comes back in one piece and the rest is up to Asia. I won’t see him for 171 more sleeps. We just recently realized we’re totally nuts for doing this, the idea is grand, the reality of missing each other we kinda forgot about until the last minute. I got a phone call from him from Tokyo but I have yet to hear from him in China. I just found out facebook is blocked which is how I was hoping to keep in touch, there were riots in another province on the weekend so that could be why. Trying not to worry too much, one day at a time.

As for me, I’m starting to focus a little more on my adventure now that I have the time for it. My route has changed somewhat after actually looking at maps with my brother, the future geography teacher. Here’s how it’s looking now:
March (3′ish weeks) – Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, India
April – India
May – Turkey, Greece, Italy and wherever else I end up in the Mediterranean
June – Seville(Spain), dancing, with weekend trips to Portugal, Morocco and Granada(Spain)
July – Central and northern Spain to visit family and gain some fluency, and a week in France, again to visit family
August – (This is the crazy part) Switzerland, Czech Republic, Berlin(Germany), Netherlands, Belgium, Cologne(Germany), and then fly home from Frankfurt(Germany). This will be quick multiple day visits with friends with some wandering about.
