I haven’t locked into a time frame yet because my husband’s epic tour needs to be sorted out first, I’d kinda like to see him in between instead of overlapping so we’ll see. I decided to focus on two countries specifically, with at least a month in each and the other 3 months would be spending shorter bits of time seeing where the journey takes me.
First I’ll hit South East Asia February/March for a couple months focusing on India, specifically Rajesthan and Goa, with a smattering of Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and wherever else I feel like going.
Second it’ll be Europe, late spring for about 3 months or so, where I’ll spend about 6 weeks in Spain, a couple in France and England for sure to see the family and dance with gypsies and climb to where my ancestral home once stood in Castro-Urdiales. Other places I’d like to aim to hit would be Switzerland, Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Portugal.
If the stars align I think it would also be amazing to hit Egypt and Turkey between South East Asia and Europe. I’m such a freakin’ nerd and already know what shampoo I’m bringing and the best line to bring to dry your clothes on and bla bla bla. Yes I’m obsessive but I’m all about being a good girl scout, ask anyone I’ve been with at Burningman. Being as prepared as possible will leave the journey more open to possibilities without as much stress. An itinerary is the one thing I will not be planning any further that where and when I start and end.
